A Christmas Treat

Bake in the oven at 250*F for 4-5 minutes (no longer).

When you remove them from the oven, the Rolo will still be in the same shape as when it went in the oven. Place a pecan half on top of the Rolo and press down a bit.

Top each of the Rolo with one pecan half.

Place the entire baking sheet in the freezer for about 5-7 minutes to allow the Rolo to cool.

Remove from freezer and enjoy! Or place in a container to enjoy later. These will last several days- probably more, but they've never lasted that long in our house!

These are so delicious! A great sweet-salty combo.

Prayers Are Answered

Just got this picture from the kids at the hospital with Kennedy.

They have moved her feeding tube from her month and into her nose. She took a bottle today and Emily has been pumping for her.

She looks like a real little baby with many tubes gone and her hat off. They are watching her coloring as she looks a little yellow.

She is at Emanuel Hospital which I think is the best NICU in Oregon.

I just finished decorating my entry table for November.

MarySue will be flying home today with all my love and gratitude.

This may be my last entry (post) with her gone. So now would be a good time to send my love and thanksgiving to all of you.

Emily "gifted" this wreath to me. Thanks Em!

I'm so thankful for my grandchildren and the two that will be joining the family later in November and March 2011.

We Should Have Taken A Picture

MarySue and I decorated the dining room table in a Halloween theme for our family dinner.

We had mice, pumpkins, candy corn, and candles with black plates, cups and napkins.

We fixed mummies to eat (polish sausage hot dogs wrapped in bread dough and then baked). Left over fruit, veggies, tarts and pumpkin pie from the wedding open house. We topped the pie with whipped cream and a "peeps" ghost on top.

It put a smile on my face and so does the video below. One of my all-time favorite songs. Hope you'll sing along.
